Hey guys.... I will be (tenativly) selling my used TE61 turbo pending a final deal on a TE45A. I have never installed it. I bought it used from 88ZNX on this board who is a local friend of mine. It came on his car and was pulled off to upgrade to something bigger. He was told it was a TE61 when he bought the car. I only see CCE60 on the compressor housing... so I am not positive.... it could be a TE60. I bought it because it would get me started with my "bolt-ons" I had planned. Well.... I ran across this TE45A and am most likely (pending seller sending me address where to send payment to)... going to buy this TE45A. Provided that happens... I will need to sell my TE61. It has the Garrett .63 exhaust housing. I understand this is getting scarce... as Garrett doesn't make this housing anymore.... should spool nicely with a 3000 or better converter.

So at this point... I am putting some feelers out if someone might want this turbo.

It has some shaft play... but the car was not smoking when removed.. and the fan doesn't contact the housing. I was going to run it as-is....but someone else might decide they want to rebuild it first.

I want $300 + shipping. Paypal preferred but add 3% for their fees.

Deal on the 45A should be final within the next couple of days.

Turbo

I'm interested. Got any pics you can send? Inlet/ outlet sizes? Do you know what stall convertor it needs? Is it complete with wastegate/actuator? Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Never mind. I found what I really wanted. Sorry to waste your time.

I can provide pics to those interested. It did not come with a wastegate actuator...so I do not have an extra one to sell with it.

did you find out if it was a 60 or a 61?

I think it is a 60 per what Joe Lubrant replied to my other post in the turbo forum.... but am not sure. I have contacted Limit Engineering and provided them with pics.... but have not had a reply from them. I am actually thinking the TE45-A might be too big for my stock long block..probably shouldn't have bought it so fast....... so I might elect to keep the TE60 (61?) and use it til I can afford some heads..... TE45-A would go on the shelf... probably if that happens.....
