If you into a country were they tell you not to do something and you still go ahead and do it breaking the law that was mandated, then you should pay for it, he knew it was and would be illegal to bring the equipment into the country and he still did it, that is what you call cause and effect, he broke the law take your sentence like a man and do your time.. just my 2 cents worth, just because he is a US citizen should not except him from their laws and rules.. period.
