Is pretty horrible. I have been out in Cali going on two weeks and can tell you they are not rowing with both oars in the water :D You would have to visit Long Beach like I did this weekend to get a feel for it!

hmmm lets talk about this..

option 1.

adoption- did you know that adoption is even harder than just terminating a preagnancy for the mother, not physically but mentally, once she sees that baby it will be even harder for her to let go, not to mention sometimes the babies once they grow up have to deal with the fact of trying to answer the question who my real parents are, i am not pro abortion or pro life this is a woman's decition she alone can make this decition for the best or for the worst.

number 2.

If you have having a problem having a baby, perhaps you should have married a woman who u knew could have them, not flaming anyone who's wife can have babies, at least for me when i marry i will make damn sure my wife can pump them out when needed, and if you are the one with the problem, there are other choices, you could call me and i will do the honors . also why dont you go down to the third world countries and adopt a child that lost her parents there are plenty of those around, S*** they are all over the place here, why wait for another one to be brought into this hell hole that we live in, give me a break.

number 3.

Termination of preagnancy is one of the safest procedure outthere and it only takes 5 minutes, of course that is you are that far advance in your preagnancy it make take longer but it is a very very safe procedure.

if i think of anything else i will be posting.

TA TA.

You sir - have now posted the most moronic post I have ever read on Turbobuck.com.

Are you 12 years old???? PLEASE tell me you are just some stupid kid shouting off his mouth because mommy and daddy bought you a computer......

If not, I don't think I could have heard so many insensitive, uncaring, non-educated remarks from one individual in the same day.

You absolutely added nothing valuable to this thread, other then a bunch of crazy, liberal, California dribble.....

I've been kind of waiting for cwelk87gn to respond to this comment, but I guess he's too much the gentleman. What a GD rotten thing to say in response to his remarks.

I completely agree! Remember, if you wouldn't say it to someone's face don't say it on the internet. If you said that to Chris either he would deck you or I would if I was standing there.

To the original post:

Coming from my point of view I've seen six graders that have had children. THAT is a travesty. 19 was the age not too long ago people started familys, got married, and started careers. She will be able to support and take care of a baby at 19, but she will need some help if she's going to continue to attend college. Since she was already enrolled in college she sounds like a girl that typically makes the right decisions. You'll know if she is that kind of girl or not because we don't. If she is that kind of girl, then this will be a life lesson and a constant reminder that everything in life has consequences. Don't focus on the bad because this could actually be a positive in the long run.

Once you get over the shock of her having a baby and perhaps ruining her chances you may even become excited at the prospect of becoming a grandfather. Plenty of people still complete college and do well after having children. It isn't the norm IMO, but it isn't impossible.

I never thought about the abortion issue much until my wife got pregnate last year. Once we went in for an ultrasound at 4 months and saw tiny parts and the heart beating I had decided there is no way in this world I could ever support abortion.

I was also adopted at 6 months of age and I was always told from day one that I was. There was no confusion, or mistrust, or feelings of not belonging. That was my scenerio. I had the same amount if not more love, than I think I would have had otherwise. If your daughter does decide to go the adoption route (which I don't even know if that is a consideration) she will make a family very happy. You may be also surprised that some families allow the birth mothers to visit and be a part of the child's life if needed.

I'm not sure if you're a religous man or not, but some things in life happen for a reason. When my sister had a baby at 16 I thought it was the worst thing in the world that could possibly happen to my parents because I knew they would be raising that child. I was right, they are raising that child, but if you ask them know they wouldnt' change it for the world. Part of that is because my sister is not a responsible person. She wouldn't be on the same path as your daughter and enrolled in college and dating someone that cared about her. Two different people...

Good Luck, and I hope what I said can be of some help to you.

James

If you don't like wiked's advice that is fine. Debate it on that level all you want. However, just what does California have to do with this thread at all?

If you don't like it here, then stay the hell where you belong! Seems like we have far too many transplants from the east coast here anyway.

Well, I read wicked87's comment and reminded myself that ANYONE that has access to a computer can make a post, regardless of intelligence. Sometimes when say nothing at all, you have said a ton. On similar subject, I would also like to congratulate Bishir on he and his wifes new baby boy, I know he's a proud dad!:)

I say let her make her own decision and support her 100% no matter what she wants to do. It's HER life and part of being an adult is making decisions. Do not make them for her but explain ALL options completely and reinforce the fact that she can come to you when she needs to. If she is leaning one direction then give her 100% support and tell her how you can be there for her. She will may go back and forth from one idea to the next and you must support her no matter how many times she changes her mind. This will not be easy for anybody and there is a "dad" that should be involved but ultimately it is HER decision.

Best of luck!!

Thanks Chris,

I'm going to wait and get a picture of him with his turbo 6 outfit on before I post it :D

Well, my wife and I are trying very hard (unsuccessfully) to have a child, and if your daughter doesn't want it, we would love to have it. My wife lost her (unborn) daughter in a bad traffic accident 12 years ago and we are looking to adopt a child. There is no need to abort a baby when there are childless couples who would love to have a little baby and I would be willing to pay any of your daughters medical bills that come up. ;)

This is a very kind gesture and there are a lot of folks out there doing just what you suggested. It's a great alternitive and life is just to precious to just throw away......:)

Like some of these folks on here suggest......WTF:confused:

I think it was when he said:

"S*** they are all over the place here, why wait for another one to be brought into this hell hole that we live in, give me a break."

I don't consider where I live a "hell hole" so maybe someone thought wiked87gn was refering to California when he used the phrase.

Unfortunately she made a poor, life-altering decision. If she keeps it she will have ONE TOUGH ROAD completing college, as if it's not hard enough without a child. Again, if she keeps it she's decided to make her life 10x more difficult and put herself behind the 8-ball as far as being successful. The facts don't lie, this is the [non-emotional] truth. That's not to say she doesn't have the wherewithal to do it, it's just going to be enormously difficult.

I say adoption is the way to go in her situation. Statistically it would be better off for everyone involved. A childless family would be blessed with a new baby, your daughter would be able to complete college with her classmates and the stress on her, you and your family would be dramatically reduced for years to come. It's a win-win for everyone.

After my single mom welfare govt cheese early childhood blahblah cry a river all I can say is Im sure glad my mother didnt choose what would have made things better for HER.

She would agree: we are both better off now.

This reminds me of the parents taking small kids to movies the PARENT wants to see. Sacrificing for your children never involves the easy way. Im sure we can all think of more extreme examples but this thread is already on a downslide imo.

I agree, it's a shame it has to be dragged into the gutter when all shawnz was doing is looking for input from board members. HE gets opinions then members have to blast other members for offering those opinions. It's not necessary. If people want to debate abortion, adoption and/or single motherhood then another thread should be started in the political section debating those topics.

UNGN,

You could be right, although I think the comments I referenced were just another cheap shot at California again. I for one am sick of it. I see this being a common theme not only on this board but others I visit as well.

The rest of the country wants to take a bunch of pot shots at us constantly and thinks we are just going to sit here like a bunch of pu$$ies and let it roll off our backs. I for one won't. I've traveled all over the country and can tell you for sure that every state has their share of nuts, and yes that includes the heartland of the U.S. Just my 2 cents. :)

Anyway, back to the topic of this thread. If anyone wants to take some shots at CA then email me offline and I'll be happy to discuss the issue.

I would have edited my previous response since I felt it needed a final paragraph, but the 10 minute rule was in force.

Shawnz, sorry your thread got taken a bit off track. I will take responsibility for part of that. You have my apology. I want to steer things back on course so you can get some more opinions with regard to your situation which is the most important issue at hand.

I ask that any responses my previous comments be directed to me privately so as not to hijack Shawnz thread.

Shawnz, I feel for you and your daughter. Whatever the final decision I hope all works out for you. :)

just because my opinions are straight to the point, and harsh at times does not meat they dont get the point accros, by the responses i got on this post it means that i got some S*** stirred up, i dont see any of you Pro choice Mofos telling shawnz the you will paid the hospital bills, diapers, clothes, HS, food, shelter, college tuition and god knows what else this kid will need during his life time, Comon Pu***** step up to the plate if you are so pro-life, as far as my hell hole comment i was not refering to california i was refering to the whole Planet earth You morons, obviously your minds are too small to see the whole picture.. u my friends are the cause why our taxes are going through the roof.. kids having kids is a huge problem in this country, start by education ur kids about Birth control so that in the near future you wont have to make a decition that will impact a teenagers life for the rest of her life, education starts with the parents at home and not at the abortion clinic or the hospital having a baby.. this thread reminds me of the one that i posted about putting a Toyota Supra motor Into a Grand National. hahahahaha.

I see... you have nearly proved every point those responding to you have tried to make.

Im not worried though, since your obviously poor outlook on life is easy to spot. I no longer fear you can harm anyone in this thread. I gave you the chance to just call California as you "see" it but your wisdom extends beyond all borders.

AMEN and thank you for seeing it my way..

NOT!!! u my friend are obviously narrow minded and ur brain is probably the size of an ant...

PS i am done with this thread and making my point, if i offended some of you for trying to give my advice and my opinions were to strong for you to take, go crawl back under your rock and never come out you will do us all some good.

He: World is hellhole. Dont make babies.
Me: No its not, you are just negative
Somehow that means Im narrow minded. heh.

Should the author of this thread need any further "support" he may feel free to participate in this thread. I think however I have done enough damage to it so I'll get out.

Sorry I helped hijack your topic. I thought I could control myself but could not.

Adoption is a great thing to do. I was adopted at 2 weeks old. I have the best parents anyone could ever ask for. As for your daughter - just stand beside her and help her in with any decision she chooses. 20 years ago my wife and I were in her situation. My wife - girlfreind at that time - lost the baby. Although releived - things were set in motion that we did not know about. She has been unable to conceive since. We are currently adopting from overseas. All I have seen is pics of my son. I would not trade him for the world - and I have not even held him. From what I have learned is that a kid can truly steal your heart and soul with just a smile. So good luck with your daughter and I wish her all the success in the world with what she decides.

Alan
