Tell me about my pt67

Is this too big, mainly exhaust side, for my setup. Explain this a/r ratio.
Also it's starting to get a little play on the exhaust side. How much to get it freshened? Or should I sell and start over?

It looks like an older 67 the AR .85 on the exhaust side is slower spooling I would go for the AR.63 which is much faster spooling and more responsive more fun on the street. It's not a bad turbo but their is alot more better wheel turbo's out there with the new technology more HP and quicker spooling..But if money is tight just rebuild it and its hard to give you a price until the shop checks it out. I have paid between $350-$600 for a rebuild.

Thanks. If I rebuild, would it cost much more to change the exhaust side housing? What suggestions for who to rebuild or is it something I could pull off?

If I went with a smaller exhaust side, I know I will spool faster, but will I lose some on the top end? I don't street race, just want the best 1/4 mile time. My 60 foots were terrible, I just couldn't get it to spool even with the trans brake.

In your sig. it says you have a 3500 stall converter which is more than enough perfect for the pt67 you should have no problem. Now in the pictures its hard to tell but it looks like the wastegate hole is off centered so the puck isn't completely covering the hole which could explain the slow spooling.

The convertor was is an Art Carr that was around 3000 stall. I had it sent back and re-stall it for another 500. It just doesn't feel like it at all. I couldn't get any boost up with the foot brake.
