Help!

I just received my first order from Precision. A Terry Houston downpipe and a cutout.

The downpipe wastegate valve is so hard to move. Is this normal?

Also, the cut out is dented so bad that it wont slip in the downpipe.

The box that it was shipped in looks like it made it without incident.

Have ya'll had similiar experiences?

If you've got a camera, take pictures of what you got and send it back for replacement.
Take pictures of the box too as proof it wasn't shipping damage.

Save that box until you've resolved your problem!!!If UPS gets involved,a photo of the box probably won't fly. Those guys can be difficult to deal with.

i think percision is dropping the ball, i ordered a fmic from them a week ago and they told me that they would call back the next day and tell me how much to make the money order out for with the shiping costs. aint got a call from them yeat and the intercooler should be here with in a day or so and guss who aint got a money order made out because no phone call was ever made, hell i even left them 2 phone numbers. i think id rather deal with tony and CAS:rolleyes:

One day we'll get all vendors to offer a quality product AND decent service. Until then - I'll be VERY selective with whom I will shop.

Its the performance car business guys. Unless you are dealing with sbc's or 5.0 motors, alot of these parts are not stocked on the shelves, and most vendors are at the mercy of their suppliers that "try" to give them a good time line. Our Vendors are so small that they cannot afford to have 4 sets of alluminum heads sitting on the shelf waiting to be bought. Every business messes up, occasionally loses a phone #, its the guys that continually lie about ship dates and availability that you have to watch out for.

Equalizer442, call them and ask. The biggest thing is getting the part to your door in a timely manor, which they did for me when I ordered my front mount. Don't sweat the small stuff.

dwithers, are you talking about the puck in the downpipe is hard to move or the wastegate rod? The rod shoudl be hard to move, otherwise it wouldn't hold the puck closed under pressure. And don't tell us about the dented cut out pipe, tell PTE. Give 'em a chance. Heck, if it's not dented too bad it might be easier for you to knock it back out rather than send it back and wait for another.
