Texting while driving: Warning! NWS

Most Leos on here have seen their fair share of extractions but this was sent to me.... Warning the last couple of pics show the Extraction and very graphic so if you have a weak gut then move along.

The driver of the truck stated that the oncoming car's driver was looking down, prompting a further investigation.
The phone records were pulled and showed Texting at the time of the impact.

The first five pics show the crash and the extraction..... the 2nd part of this thread shows the aftermath, It may be even too graphic to allow on the board but the warning is posted

Looks like it was in Italy er somewhere, car was bearly a moped to begin with.
last week here in Kingsport a 17 yr old girl riding shotgun was killed cuz her boyfriend was texting for the partys address.

really sad stuff to see but sometimes it takes that to get the message out

They had a UK commercial awhile back about girls in a small car while the driver was texting a had a horrific crash. It look so realistic I believe it was banned. But it did send a message.

I will admit I am guilty as charged for text messaging while im driving every once in a while but I can honestly say after seeing that I'll think twice before doing that again.

the last time i saw this story, the guy was driving drunk.. or maybe he just got in an accident and was an idiot for driving a "smart car".. whatever- but i know texting wasn't involved the last time i saw this.

I wouldnt doubt it being the internet and all, in 6 months time it will re surface with the story that the driver was eating a bigmac.

lesson learned, when driving, dont eat, dont drink, dont smoke, dont talk and dont swerve for small furry animals

I agree.......I was passed these same pics 3 or 4 years ago and it was supposed to be a drunk driver.
