Greetings from Indiana! I finally got around to installing my "experimental" th350 manual vb trans in my buddy 66 Olds. I looped gov pressure internally and blocked the gov passages in the case. I used epoxy to block rev feed to the pressure regulator valve, and am using a modulator plug, locked the manual low valve in the bore, and added a small spring in the 1-2 shift valvetrain. In addition to these vb mods I drilled the spacer plate the usual way, 1 checkball, dual feed 3rd gear and a aftermarket p/r spring and machined direct piston for 5 clutches. The trans works great, the trans shifts hard and really fast. My only concern is manually downshifting 2-1. It feels like the trans binds in 2 gears for a split second. I dont think it should do this. Any ideas or opinions? BTW, all the manual valve body conversion mods came from this forum, you guys are great! I learn something new almost everyday!
