I have a revers manual valve body TH400 with a cheetah shifter. I love it, but it's not FWY worthy. :frown:

Call Turbo Action they are nice people. I don't have the receipt in front of me now but could have the part # by later on today. :)

I checked out their website and it listed distributors, summit was one of them, so I went to summit to check it out there.....thanks, let me know as I did not see any difference in the ones summit listed. Thanks again.

I am a big believer of the 200s BUT had a customer here that wanted a 400 man shift.. did it and he loves it!!! I drove it around the block and parked it in the driveway  Just depends what you are looking for .. We need gas mileage !! Thats another reason we still have a 200 in Melissa's car

I'm looking for reliability and before someone says you can make the 200 reliable.......I don't want to spend a lot doing it. The 400 works for me and that is the route I am going. I've read more on here about breakage and the astronomical costs associated with the rebuild on the 200 than I care to.......

well it was asked "anyone done this and been happy with it?" and I gave my opinion.. You like the 400 so give it a whirl! Ill beep as we drive by ya @ 80

And I'll honk as I blow by you and your toolbox along side the road....

nah... I'd already be home by then  oh we don't have a toolbox.. Car is heavy enuff :p

oh back on topic.. maybe post a thread about people that run 400s on the street and how they like them

I don't like the 400 on the street. I hate it! I can't go anywhere. No more long drives, and no fwys. :( It sits in my garage 95% of the time now.

Next time I will check with the search police. You can search for hours and never get your answer. I have better to things to do .

What's the difference between our cars and a GS400 or 455 with similar gearing and the 400, besides the older cars had a bit more weight?

Powerband is similar with a big block and the V6.

I don't recall parking my gas guzzler in the early 70's and not being able to cruise at 70-75 mph?

Of course my motor did seize up at 154K on me. :p

Then again it didn't have any oil pressure mods. or much oil pressure either when I bought it at 104K.
