just saw the "mean old man" I am prob not as old as you :p BUT I would say "old" people wouldn't like a 400 on the street if they do a lot of highway driving .. hmmmmm.. your not afraid of goin fast on the highway are ya ?? seriously I want to put the car in drive and GO.. We are 40 min away from the track here BUT it's 80% highway so we can just cruise up there @ 2000/2200 rpm . oh after she races she drives another 2 hours for her getaway for the weekend. Like I said I drove a customers car with one and there was no way I could live with it .. His was a manual shift and now he is goin back to a reg shifting valve body. Driving @ 3200/3500 down the highway isn't fun to me or our gas tank. Jeeeez.. I am rambling like and old person

What's the difference between our cars and a GS400 or 455 with similar gearing and the 400, besides the older cars had a bit more weight?

Those cars are tanks !!! I swapped a 200 in an Old's vista cruiser wagon (455) a year or to ago.. was a pain just to get the car on the lift!! damm it's a nightmare thinking about it

Already Did It

been in the car since Jan. I really don't love it. I don't mind the shifting, just keep waiting for OD. Too much money in it to change it back 'cause the 200 needs fixing. I would go back if i thought i could get most of my money back.

hmmm..maybe I am older than you  .. I hated shifting .. couldn't drive with a beer in your hand thats for sure :p Do you do a lot of highway cruising?? or just local stuff?? oh what do you run for times that made you go to a 400 ??? or did the 200 break on ya ?? ok enuff questions

you can! you ship both trans back ill rebuild the 200 and keep the 400 and you pay the shipping back for the 200. done deal!!

Bought the car new, been there done that. Was a stage ll car at one time. The 200 was done 4 times, this would have been 5. Seemed like a smart move. The hiway is 37 miles away. Driven the car about 500 miles since i retired here 2 years ago. Wasn't thinking to clearly on this. And I am only 60.

wow !! I don't feel as old now :p Len is offering you a very nice option!!! good luck on your choice! oh I will add 200's have come a long way in the past few years !

I love my Len Freeman TH400 at the track just not street. :frown: At Grumpy's 3,200/3,500 rpm It would have me thinking the whole world's coming to an end @ 60mph. HR's motor and trans mounts its very, very solid and you feel everything then again I also have a 6 point cage. I still have my original drive shaft, mint console, and shifter so a 2004R wouldn't be hard to put back in. :D Len will be seeing my handsome face again when I can't take it anymore.
