What brand tc are you using and are you happy with it. Soon to buy a th400 w/ a brake. thanks. Rich.

Jetmech, we have guys out there running into the low 8's with our TCS billet 9" and 10" converters and love them. There are some good products out there for your set up. Do your homework and you should be well served.

hands down most cars will go faster with a neil chance convertor.you will see an average of 2tenths in just about every case.they are quite expensive though.most of our 6,7,8 sec customers use them although i am not a distributor.all other applications we use pro torque convertors.tcs makes a great product but are a little too far away from us if restalling is necessary.turbo cars are very sensitive to convertor selection so choose carefully.

I'm running a precision industries and have no problems. my 60' times are from 1.45-1.55 range.

Give Billy Anderson a call. He deals with lots of T400 in his customers cars with great success. Tell him what you got and he will have something for you.

For the TH400 trans we use ATI, they are reasonable and reliable.Choose your converter wisely. Just for info purposes, if you call ATI for a turbo Buick converter, they call me to spec it out anyway. If you know someone with a combo similar to yours with an ATI conv, call them with the serial # and they can duplicate it exactly, you can choose to buy direct from them but generally it will cost 20% more, usually happens about once a month for whatever reason. We are a WD for ATI restalls are free for 30 days,(longer if I screw up!).

My trans shop uses coan and precision. Ive seen the prices on coan and they are resonable. How is coan for quality. Thanks for the info Bill . Also what is the price range for an ATI unit . about a 3500 stall and trans brake use. thanks Rich.:)
