How are you guys setting the shifter bracket for tranny to retain the factory linkage? I have my neutral safety switch wired. It is a PIA to keep turning the column to start the car. I have looked at welding the stock bracket to the B&M bracket but it looks like I wouldn't be able to install the nut on the shaft. Pics would greatly appreciated. THANKS

I installed a BOP TH400 keeping the stock shifter w/ 3 speed reverse pattern detent bracket from a board member. The cable shift bracket just had to be redrilled with one hole and mounted on a different trans pan bolt . The column linkage hooked right up with no problems . everything works great .

Hows that ? you can see that I had to mod the bracket on the one hole for it to fit well to the pan . It may depend on the type of pan you have .seeing that the alum pan maybe a little thicker . and I just "blue" loc-tighted the one trans pan bolt that holds the bracket . I get NO shifter or column binding what so ever . and with that reverse pattern detent bracket and shifter console inlay (P R N 1 2 3 ) , the cars a blast to drive on the road . :)
