THDP removal

Have any of you pulled off or put on a THDP in your driveway? I was thinking of taking mine off to get a bung put in it. But wanted to see if jackstands got the car high enough to take it off.

I did with mine but can't remember if I took it upwars after removing the headers on mine (I did this when I pulled the engine and restored the engine bay etc) ... had the car on jackstands up front and emptied it all out ...

If you get the turbo elbow off and take it out from underneath I don't see that being an issue as it's not that long.

It will come out.. just get the car up high enough. You may need to loosen the passenger motor mount and lift the motor a little.

You don't have to go through all that trouble! Take it to a good muffler shop and they will cut a hole and weld the bung in.
