I serched and cant find the thread about which serial numbers were bad.

Are the numbers on mine.
Runs fine, but I am just curious as the previous owner installed it.

Far as I can remember, a few vendors purchased and re-sold the fakes from China, only to find out they failed consistently. The clones seemed to be disguised very well and looked legit.Walbro claimed to have had nothing to do with Chinese suppliers.

Thousands of complaints followed. I believe that if your car is actually running with a Walbro pump today, you're OK. The knock-offs didn't last very long.
 
i still have one of the pos in my car and need to replace it. That tells you how much i drive my car.

in one thread Walbro admitted to knowing about the problem and still sold them NO BS. i think i quoted the post but not sure. It probably been edited by now :mad: .
