Obama Issues Memoranda to Increase Fuel Efficiency, Possibly Let States Decide Emissions Rules - First 100 Days of Presidency - Politics FOXNews.com

Looks like we are in for a repeat of the mid to late 1970s car wise. Only I have to wonder if the ailing auto industry can survive this. The cost to implement these changes is going to be astronomical. I really don't think they are going to survive short of some other bailout.
On the bright side for some, the value of the past few years super vettes just went through the roof.

I also believe that the rule changes for individual state auto emissions is a death knell for our hobby. Here in CA the current rules already have hotrodding on it's death bed. Obama just called in Dr Kervorkian.

Sit back and watch, it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

I suggest that if you have retirement money and YOU are not in physical control of it, you do so immediately!

Is it just me, or are all the enormous signature images inappropriate? Not so much for the content, but the sheer size and quantity? I thought signatures had limitations or that stuff was seriously frowned upon on message boards. Nothing personal, just an observation.

A 450x185 animation that is a massive 463KB. Two still images at roughly 600x450 and 117KB. That means your signature totals 1600 pixels high and 600KB. That's DOUBLE most people screen size and over a half a MB in weight. Something to think about.

Yep.......was watching Fox today about this exact topic. This will give states the right to basically regulate gas guzzlers and 'old' cars that pollute more then your 03 Civic into history. The tree huggers in Cal. must be real happy right about now. Obamas opened up the floodgates.........

I personally think he has better things to keep him busy that worrying about EPA and clean air acts. All that crap ain't gonna matter if we have no money for fuel.I personally think the EPA are a bunch of government funded thugs and the only way to keep them happy is to grease there palms (seen it happen).
