First a little background:
My GN is lower then stock, wider tires then stock, and louder then stock.
In Farmersville, OH, a couple years ago, I was stopped by no less then 3 Lebonan City cops, and 2 Sheriff's cars. My crime?, at an intersection, I *clipped* the lane lines. Yep, 15 mins were spent discussing this issue with Officer Friendly.
Fast forward to yesterday:
All weekend the News had been talking about the OHP (Ohio Highway Patrol) cracking down on Extreme Drivers. Against, my better judgement, I decided to take the *Black Car* out for a drive.
You just knew that in no time there was a Sheriff's car following me. And following, me. It must have been after 10-15 mins of him following me, that I came to a rise in the road. As I crested it, there was a huge dead crow laying off center in my lane. Any other time, I'd just swung over a little, to clear it, but, there it was a solid double yellow line, so I wound up hitting it with the right side tires. As I glanced in the rear view mirror, I saw that I'd flipped it up.
Well, almost instantly the Sheriff hit the lights, and pulled me over. I knew, my speed was legal, and I hadn't touched the yellow lines. So I got my license, reg, and proof or insurance out, and had them in hand by the time, the Officer got to my car.
He started with do you know why I stopped, you?.
My reply was nope, I have no idea.
He then said you know that bird you hit, flew up and broke my windshield?.
No, but it wasn't my fault the bird was there.
To which he said, well, what I going to do is write you for flipping me the bird....
