knock during highway cruising then popping under boost

Wanted to share since this is a PITA for us all.

Started getting knock while cruising on the freeway. It got worse when engine temps increased. After a few weeks the engine started popped @ 5# of boost.

Check fuel, alky, vacuum lines and added race gas, nope still there.

Swapped out the coil pack bingo all issue went away. Hope this helps someone.

I had the same problem a few years ago

Might've had the old hot goo on the bottom of the coil pack where it acts up the longer you're driving the car, then cools off and is good again until the under hood temps start cooking it and repeat.
