Has anyone changed their stock thermostat to either a 180 or 160? How long did it take to install? Was it hard? How did it effect the performance?

Replacing the stock thermostat on my '01 Regal GS with a 180 degree unit resulted in an SES light whenever the ambient temperature dropped below 50F. I Autotapped it and the code indicated that the engine temperature was too low. I just ignore the light in the winter.

I'm running a 3.4" pulley and was getting around 7 degrees of knock retard before the thermostat. The cooler thermostat appears to have knocked the KR down a degree or two.

Installation took less than 5 minutes.
