Currently I run an SMC alky kit with a 24º degree chip and 25 psi of boost through the traps...this on 92 octane and 100% denatured....very low KR. My question is, do you all think it would be possible to run a 75 shot of NOS (wet kit) with alky and pump gas and keep the detonation under control? In years past I used a 75 HP shot and 112 octane (no alky) with very good results....now I'm wondering with the alky spraying and the extra fuel comming in from the NOS fogger this might prove to be too difficult to tune and a tad too much fuel all together??? For the beginning of my R&D I'm going to use straight 114 fuel then eventually put the alky back into play and bring the octane down by adding pump and see what happens! My ultimate goal is to have the NOS and alky jets in the same up-pipe and be able to run a 75 shot on pump and alky... all the while tuning for LOW single digit to no KR and EGT's in the 1580º-1615º range. This idea is mainly for use in the hot summer months to help offset the lousy IC airflow the TTA's have. Any opinions?

I'm sure it can be done

That sounds Badass!

I'm no expert, but I would start small. I think it will work, but you might blow the motor trying to tune it in. Running that much boost, alky, and nitrous might blow your spark out (if something worse doesn't happen first).

If it were me, I'd use conservative timing, a smaller plug gap, and start with a 25-shot with the high-octane gas. I'd work my way up from there.

Problem I found is race gas likes timing and alky doesnt.. So your tuneup is going to be way off when you switch. If you want to do it, I would start at 20 PSI boost and run as much alky as the motor can take. Then spray it. The nitrous will enhance the combustion process. Probably a small dry shot to start.

Your chip probably has the fueling locked, so the enrichment let the alky make it happen. And run lower timing to start off with. I would start at 18-19 degrees and see what happens. Lots of timing/with lots of boost equals knock..you spray while its on the edge..it will go over.

I havent tried NOS yet..kinda happy with the fact of running for 2 years and zero damage... thats a testament how sturdy these motors are.

Good luck..probably nail a mean 60 foot :)
