thinking of stepping up

I currently have a te-44 precision turbo on my car what is the next stepped up turbo I could use on my car I have 42lb injectors 3000 stall 70mm throttle body factory heads and everything else no methanol injection yet but will add later running 20lbs with no knock ....

With stock heads The 44 is a great turbo. Get meth and get the boost up around 25 psi.

ya no knock I f te-44 ever has to be replaced what is the current turbo #s like 6266 for example

You should be able to go real fast with that combo..^^^agree with alky and 25+ #s but make sure you have the fuel pump first, next step would be a whole combo change not just the turbo..

ya I have a Deatschwerks 300 fuel pump just put in last year with hotwire kit and voltage booster

To get the best performance for your money its all about the combo like sleeper mentioned. Your being able to run 20# boost with pump gas is more boost than one can normally run with these cars, so we need more info on your setup...what innercooler, chip, torque converter ,gears, downpipe and exhaust and so on. Have you ever ran the car at the track and what were the numbers? I worked on one that was able to run boost similar to yours but the car did not run up to its potential due to a torque converter issue that was not loading the engine as it should. So there may be issues there that have not been uncovered yet. 25-26# is a happy number for your turbo when every thing is right and you have the alky or race gas feeding it.
