Just had the new windshield installed in the '87 turbo Buick.
$250 total, came to my house, pulled the old windshield,
cleaned the channel where the windshield sits in, installed
a new PGW (Pittsberg Glass Works) (Pittsberg plate glass
subsidiary). Job came out great. This is the man to talk to
& the business to do do all of your automotive glass work:
Kotto's Auto Glass, (800) 810-4933, Fax (562) 690-3535.

The back of his card reads: Windshields, Domestic, Classic,
& Foreign cars buses, RV's, Heave Equipment, Sunroofs,
Side Mirrors, Regulator Repair, Custom Glass, Same Day
Free mobile Service. Definitely ask to see his scrapbook.

He worked at Boyd Coddington's for 5 years, 5 years at
Overhaulin & still does all of Chip Foose's glass needs.
Went to a car show knowing that Chip Foose would be
there. Introduced myself to Chip & he gave me Eddie
Kotto's #. This is the man for auto glass.
Cad next week hopefully.

Thanks for sharing Gary. I will need a new windshield soon...it's not so much the small crack in the lower right corner that bothers me, but it's the thousands of small nicks and pits in the glass that make it extremely difficult to see during sunsets/sunrises and from the headlights of the on-coming cars at night.

A front windshield being replaced is like getting HD vision! You never realize how messed up it is till you replace it. My SS is due. Thanks Gary!

That's what I need too.. I'm glad there is more that have the same issue . I thought it was just me .

The Turbo-T only is 28 yrs old & had only 38K miles on it. Sandstorm, freeway debris, dust. It's needed 1 for a while.
My Cad V is 6 years old & has 48K. Brakes being done today for a paltry sum of $2100, windshield next week.

 $2100....

Actually, that's a killer deal. That includes the new 2 piece front rotors &
slotting or grooving all 4 rotors.
Those 2 piece AC Delco made for GM front rotors list for $650 or so. That's
each rotor. They gave me a $ 500+ discount for bringing donuts occasionally.
The Cad dealer quoted me $2800 last year for brakes on all 4 corners.
The problem is that there is a GM sheet out that limits the total indicator
runout (TIR/FIR) on the rotor surface at .002 to eliminate the possibility
of pedal pulsation, so they toss the rotors rather than re-surface them.
When re-surfaced, GM recommends a on-car mounted surface lathe rather
than the alternative.
The new 640 HP CTS-V 3rd generation goes out the door in the PRK
for over 100K, even on a cash deal. Their 2016 list price fully factory
optioned w/o dealer options is about $86K now. These are great cars
but not for the faint of pocketbook. Nor the stupid of pocketbook like me.
Let's see: about 6 MPG city, 12 MPG freeway. Oops, my bad. Thank God
E-85 is currently inexpensive.
