Well I finally finished rebuilding it! Installed a reprograming kit from TransGo while I was at it.

Everything works O.K. but my only screw-up was somewere in the speed-o gear. When I put the trans in reverse my speedometer goes in reverse!

Also, I still don't know how this thing works. Is it controlled by my throttle ....or does it have a mind of it's own? Nobody here at this forum could answer this question. (strange, so many transmission experts and no one knows.... ). Hopefullly someone is reading this...

the speedo does rotate in reverse.most dont realize this,some boards disengage during opposite rotation.does it work going forward?digital dash?

Works normal in drive and all foward gears. I just noticed it once I had finished the job and had it up on jackstands.

I was checking all the shifts and leaks if any. Once I put her in reverse I noticed the speedometer go in reverse also. It's the standard type dash gauge.

Learned somthing new I guess. By the way, my eratic shifts were caused by an mal-adjusted T.V. I still don't know how the TransGo kit works.

But this trans works awesome. Crisp shifts. It's a great feeling knowing how to put one back together successfully!
