hey guys, im going to be ordering my motor mounts here soon. I planned on running both poly motor mounts, but recently ive read that people are saying that there teeth are rattling loose due to vibration.

How bad is it really? I was planning on using both, because i want to be 100% sure that my down pipe will clear the a-arm, due to thats where all my false knock was comming from, and im going from the stock DP to a 3inch DP.

This car is not a DD, and when its put back together will see the road one or two days a week, and then maybe once a month on the track.

Future suspension work will be done, with poly body mounts, and then all of kirbans braces. Im not sure if that will make my teeth fall out faster:rolleyes:

Thanks guys

I run both and I don't think it's bad and I also run the poly tranny mount.

I have lowering springs, Bilstein shocks, drop spindles and poly front end kit. I16" Trans Am wheels running 245-50s in the front and 255-50 drag radials in the rear. It handles really well but it doesn't ride like a Buick anymore. I think it would be a nice ride with a little taller tire in front. It's definately not sloppy like the old days.

I installed them in my car and they rattled the fillings loose in my teeth...went back to the stockers.

I have both motor and trans mounts and they do not bother me at all

Best of both worlds. I installed an HR mount on the Dvrs side for the track. I put a new OE Mount on the Pass side. I have no problems what so ever.

I run both mounts and the poly trans mount. Love it. I am not sure but I think there were different mounts available with varying degress of hardness. Check with a vendor.

I think there is only one hardness now.
From HR Parts web site:

NOTE: We have 2 different designs for the above applications.

The "first design" will ONLY fit Buick production 3.8's.

Our "second design" will fit Stage I & II blocks, and ALL GM production V-6's in the above body styles.

I have HR's on both sides and never felt there was any difference from the oem motor mounts.
