I was told to remove the torsion bars when installing a fiberglass trunk. What do you do with the brackets that the torsion bars slid into on the arms. These brackets are attached to the trunk lid arm. They are just flapping around???

I had mine out for years due to a custom audio install. No flapping problem but that dang stock lid was heavy.

Is istalling one bar an option for you?

dont do it!!!

i just got my car back from the stereo shop and at first they removed the bars which made the trunk no longer line up proper and a beatch to hold up  ..after i brought it back and said some choice words they redid my system complete reinstalled the rods and all is well now(it lines back up)the lid is so heavy that the rods hold the trunk hindges from moving side to side..last resort is removing them...OH YA THIS IS HOW THE PROS INSTALL A SYSTEM WITHOUT REMOVING THE RODS...
