Thrasher Chips and 02 sensors?

I understand that you can run a thrasher chip with race gas and disconnect the 02 sensor. With it disconnected will the race gas ruin the sensor? If so, do you have to take out the sensor and replace it with something? What do most people use for the replacement? Thanks.

Yes, Yes, and a bolt Actually, you can run the Thrasher chip without an O2 sensor and any fuel as long as it meets the requirements of the model of chip. Just don't expect the Lean Cruise feature to work without it.

Go to NAPA and get the "O2 plug" It is a short 18mmX1.5 pitch plug for plugging up an unused O2 sensor bung.

Maybe a stupid question from me, but whats the piont not running with the O2 sensor there?
Is your race gas leaded?
Something in unleaded race gas that hurt it?

Yes, I'm talking about running leaded race gas which will kill the 02 sensor.
