MY THIRD BRAKE LIGHT IS NOT WORKING ON MY GN. I CHECKED THE BULB AND REPLACED WITH NEW ONE. ORIGINAL BULB WAS GOOD.

I THEN WENT TO THE TRUNK AREA AND FOUND THE POWER LEAD. THERE IS NO POWER COMMING OUT OF THE LEAD? FOLLOWED WIRE UNDER TAIL LIGHTS AND INTO HARNESS AND ALL APPEARS GOOD TO THE EYE.

I DIDNT WANT TO TAKE EVERYTHING APART AND THOUGHT TO CHECK WITH THE BOARD TO SEE IF THEY HAVE ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEM AND TELL ME WHERE TO LOOK.

NOTE: WHEN POWER IS PUT TO THE CIRCUIT THE BRAKE LIGHT WORKS.

The third brake light is on it's own circuit.

Light blue wire with black stripe out of the brake switch on the brake pedal arm.

Verify you have power on that wire after you push the brake pedal down and make sure mechanically the switch is activating but if the regular lights work most likely it's adjusted right.

Feed is an orange wire on that connector, regular brakes have a white wire out of the same connector.

The wire goes over to the fuse panel and on the left side of it there should be a connector with 11 cavities, the pin J on it should be a light blue wire out going towards the back of the car, check for power there with the brake pedal depressed as well. That's connector C209, 5th or 6th wire up from the bottom I believe, just test the light blue one. :)

No, the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL is.

Everyone should have one. ;)

And by "regular lights" in my post above I meant the regular brake lights in the tail lamp housings when you step on the brake pedal.
