Is there supposed to be slack in the throttle pedal cable. If I have my son put the pedal to the floor and I manually actuate the throttle body there's a little slack.

In other words, my pedal does not open the throttle all the way.

Normal operation?

I think I have this same issue but I'm still working on painting the car

Toby, I'll pull it sometime over the next few days and get back to you.

Wahoo, I'll let you know how it goes!

Do you have thick carpet savers? If so, try taking them out and checking. I've seen them also effect full throttle TPS settings.

No carpet savers but tomorrow I'll look and see if the jute is bunched maybe.

The first thing I initially looked at was the carpet and it was clear. I apparently didnt look hard enough :banghead:. Just behind the carpet is the cuff (insulation/pad) that goes around the base of the steering column, it had shifted counterclockwise. The bottom right corner was interfering with pedal travel. I turned it and tucked it properly so it shouldn't be an issue.

Pedal/TB travel check is good! Thanks for the backup Toby!

When the gas pedal is resting there is about an inch of slack before the gas pedal loop touches the throttle cable on my car, is there a way to take the slack out?

Im only getting 3.56volts at wot
