I was thinking of dropping to a ta49 and trying to see some times, any one hit the 11's with there 49 or good times to make me want to keep my ta49.

i really dont want to buy another stall for the 54 but if the times are that much better then the 49 then i will get one.
 
12.9@110mph with the TA49. Old combo was a 206-206 cam, port matched heads, ported intake, Spearco intercooler and KB headers. Don't know what it could've run because it had a plugged catalytic convertor. Lag was so bad because of an exhaust leak I couldn't make boost at the line and up top it fell off to 13psi. My runs with the two Vipers were made with the 49 and 23psi which I launched and mph'd on them.

I should add that compared to the 49, the 64 didn't seem to give much more power until the boost was over 20psi.
 
13.32@99.06 on 009's and a TA33, ATR DP and AFPR. Stock long block with dump pipe and street chip with more room to improve just tuning with boost/fuel, curently at 18psi. I think I can squeeze 20psi and a 13.0 without any issues.
 
13.6@98mph on a stock turbo @18psi with stock leaky injectors and stock dp (running open) and stock everything else except a JC low timing high boost chip and a home made cold air kit
 
Ran a 12.8 with 18psi of boost, and it spun hard out of the hole.


I am now running 24psi of boost, and I have Nittos....haven't taken it to the track yet.


As Mike learned....Don't race these cars without race gas.

Yeah race gas is the key here. I could have run all day long by myself and fine tuned and guaranteed to just keep going faster and faster until I hit the limits of race gas. 116 octane has a high limit! See sig for run details. Goes like hell for having barely anything really done to it.
 
dfisher , what is you combo or turbo you run, at what boost .

Remember this another board members car now but at that time boost was at 21psi 009 inj 24 deg timing C12 fuel 218 cam 86 87 \ intercooled set up car would have gone to 115 or more had we keep going. lost turbo and sorta lost insterest. decided to start another project .
