I think I found my top engine noise that was setting off the knock gauge at part throttle at about 1800 RPM that started 1 and 1/2 tanks of gas ago....Pulled the front cover and found 26 of 40 teeth missing from the cam gear and 5 of those teeth had no nylon left, just alum nubs being chewed up by the chain, and they were on the 1/2 of the gear that had no teeth so only 1/2 of the sprocket had good teeth to turn the cam. Pretty scary

Guess I was very lucky I parked it and tore into it when I did :D

The car has 109K on it w/ synthetic since 53K and as the 3rd owner I'm almost positive I'm the only one thats raced it and thats for a total of about 7 1/4 mile passes and 5 1/8 mile passes. And quite a few street tuning passes :D

Get out there and change those gears boys and girls :D :D
