I have been running a set of stock GN rims and a set of Hoosier P235/60R15. The chrome on the rims are showing signs of age but all was well as the tires were about 1/2 used up. Picked up a huge bolt in the sidewall the other day.
so dead tire. Hoosier no longer makes the tire so replacing is not a option.
Now do I just get a set of tires if so what kind for good traction.
2nd choice Rims and tires. Any Ideas as to sizes. The reason I ask is performance tires are getting slim in the 15 inch size. I went to a 17 on my 63 corvette coupe and looked pretty good.
What do you guys think.

Thanks
Ben Russell

I like 17s for a nice selection of tires, aesthetics and still with enough sidewall for a comfortable ride. For better launces a 15" is the way to go but for a little sacrifice in off the line performance 17s provide a great mix of handling and comfort. Strictly IMO.
