Well I been thinking of building a 82-93 S10 with the GN power since I can make them a ton lighter then my current truck. I think it might be a hell of a sleeper since I can do a few more things and not have to worry about my body kit (damn extreme) hitting the road. Truck sits really low even with 20s on it!

However this one will have a ton more work done to it then the current one does. I hope to break 9s with it!
 
Honestly, Buy a ram jet v-8 and toss it in with less headache.

I got to drive a good freinds 1st gen air ride with 20's, ram jet 350 with 5 speed manual.. Has heat & AC... This ride was sweet & fast & sic looking. Looks cool when it sitting on the ground parked. Handles neat too.

The buick while it sounds cool & would go like a bugger will prolly cost you more $$ and azz ache to build. I see you have an S10. did you do the build?

There are a few here with TB's besides yourself with them. I would buy one already done up if it was done properly.

why a Ramjet V8? it is way overpriced for what you get..

i'd vote for buying up a running higher mileage Caprice with an LT1 and swapping that into it with a few upgrades. or maybe even an LS engine of some sort..
 
ive had ls stuff and I like to run the gn motors since I got it figured out pretty much and they have better weight transfer for the truck then a v8...

I outrun all lsx motors or v8 trucks in my area now...Why would I put something in my truck when I can do a v6 and it be right and make the same power for less money?

why not do a sy/ty powerplant but keep it rear wheel? V8's are slow I agree ;)
 
Do you already have the truck now?

The older 1st gens that were base model trucks with the 1.9 L/4 speed and nothing else were the lightest. Curb was around 2500.

Would be cool to see an LC2 in one, you have some work to do though. Especially in the traction dept. :tongue:
 
Yep getting the 82 s10 ready now for the swap to commence. Sorry had to buy my little brother a trailor to live in yesterday till his house is built. I should be able to start this next month.
