Hi everyone the torke converter in my 89 tta will not lock up. Electrically everything checks good even the scan tool shows the tcc to be working but the torke converter will not lock there is no difference in the rpm while lightly toucking the brake pedal and holding the gas pedal at a certain speed over 60 mph. On my gnx I can feel the tc lock and unlock and also see a difference in the rpm on the tach. I changed the tcc selonoid anyway still no luck. I checked the tcc by blowing into it and grounding terminal d on the connector and it holds pressure like it is supposed to. I even tried grounding the aldl connector terminal f while driving over 60 mph to see if I could see a difference in the rpm when the converter locks and unlocks. Still no luck. I checked for a sticking converter clutch valve in the front pump and a sticking throttle valve in the valve body and everything is ok. The only other things the service manuel says to check are in the pump itself which means removing the trans from the car. I want to know if there is any other thing to check before removing the trans from the car. Thanks.

No I am not 100% sure it is a lockup converter. Instead of it having a D5 stamped all the way around the outside edges like the turbo regals it has only a number 5 stamped all the way around. It has a rectanngle shaped sticker with the letters CBCF in the verticle position and the number 8653673 in the horizonal position. Does this sound like the original converter ? I bought the car as an original car with 42000 miles on it. Everything under the hood appears to be original no after market parts that I can find. I believe the car has had severaL owners but everything looks original. Thanks for the help.
