torque converter lock-up

i have a vig 9.5 inch multi disk converter. my turbo tweak chip locks up at light throttle at about 46 mph. i want to raise the lockup to about 65 to lessen the blow of it locking up. cause when it locks it locks hard. but at a higher mph its less of a blow. is there any reason why i dont want to raise it that i'm not thinking of? its 99% street driven.

MPG and additional slippage unlocked is all I can think of.

I'd try 52 mph first if it is programmable or easy to change.

I think i'll contact turbo tweak and see if there's any reason not to up it some. I'm just trying to take a little bit of the bite out of the converter when it locks ups. I will gladly sacrifice a little mileage.

I was having the same issue. I had eric remove cruise lockup until after the trans shifts to OD. It was getting way too annoying with lock up in 3rd and the trans shifting to OD. Very harsh. Its perfect now. Had Eric change the chip about 5yrs ago no problems.

Is cruise lockup programmable in the TT chips like it is in the Extenders?
I program mine to lock at 55mph. Seems to lessen the hit.
