Precision Industries Vigilante': The Part # on converter is: 239725 (#7)
Stall speeds according to my data log. This was staging at the drag strip with the car sitting still.
At 0psi it stalls 2900rpm
At 5psi I'm at 3700rpm
At 8psi I'm at 4100
At 10psi I'm at 4450
At 12psi I'm at 4600 RPM sitting STILL on the line!
Rev limited to 6300 rpm
This summer I never had a problem with the car hitting the rev limiter under WOT kick-down. Now that it's turned cooler I've had it hit it a couple of times. This was with a full throttle kick-down from 4th to 3rd and also 3rd to 2nd on a different test run. Boost was 20psi. The trans seems to shift fine and firm at the proper shift points if I roll on the throttle and don't "flash" the converter.
I was wondering if any of you guys using this same part number converter knew what your stall speeds were while brake boosting in comparision to mine? I'm thinking I'm needing a lower stall converter.
Car has a 200-4R with 3.42 gears. The rest is in my sig.
