Whats the right torque for mains with ARP studs and ARP bolts on the rods?

Just make sure you cycle (torque to specs then loosen, then repeat) the fasteners at least 5 times before doing the final torque.....per ARP.

Besides what HOW said (very important steps), you'll want 105# on the mains and 50# on the rods.

105 - what studs are these?

I did 95 on ARP main studs with oil lube (girdled install) and 45 on crower rod bolts with crower bolt lube. It depends on the lube... if you use just motor oil, the torque number is usually 5-10 ft.lbs higher than if you use arp thread lube, etc... You also want to increment the torques in 5 # increments above 50% full torque in the proper sequence.

If you want to be as stringent as possible, you can use a stretch gauge to monitor proper bolt torque, provided they are all consistent.

Thanks for the input- its too bad ARP cant already stretch the bolts to save us alot of work- i just went through all of that with two new engines on the head studs and want to recheck the mains and rods before i install both blocks.

You'll want to double-check with your machinist to what he had them torqued to when he did the align bore/hone and resized the rods.

Correct on the lube. I used ARP lube on mine, hence those particular numbers.

The purpose of torque-cycling the fasteners is solely to "bed in" the mating surfaces and has nothing to do with stretch.
