Torque spec's for 3.8L rocker arms?

Driving home last Friday night in my GN I noticed a slight rattle under throttle. When I start the car up its loud then quiets down. Definately in the top end of the engine, identical sound to a loose rocker arm. Going to pull the cover off this weekend and check all the bolts. I take off the oil fill cap and hold my ear to it and the noise is pinpointed.... That and it sounds like a rocker arm hitting the aluminum cover

Does anyone know the torque numbers for the rocker arms? I have a stock valvetrain.

stock rocker shafts are 30 ft. pounds.

factory manual list the torque at 25 ft lb

My info says 30ft-lbs as well for stock oem rocker arm shaft.

Just dont torque the crap outta em.I made that mistake and broke the bolt off in the head.

Use some locktite on Clean threads & bolts when you do it. Then you don't have to worry about them.
