getting the torque specs from the gnt-type page it says to not go past 60 ft-lbs the old heads were at 70ft-lbs now i'm confused a professional builder built the motor and it was at 70???
now i'm getting three different torque specs.......which is the correct one???...........or for those that have replaced head gaskets what did you torque your heads too??????

The 60 ft/lb spec on the gnttype site is for the factory TTY bolts...It says to tighten bolts to 25 ft/lbs then set torque wrench to 60 ft/lbs and turn the bolts an additional 90 degrees, but not to torque past 60 ft/lbs in the proper sequence...

If you are using aftermarket bolts or studs(ARP), you need to follow the bolt or stud manufacturers recommended instructions...
