Am I looking for straight Toulene or are there other chemicals mixed into it?? I don't want to buy the wrong stuff!
Thanks for the help

I BOUGHT IT ONCE AT A AUTO PAINT SUPPLY. I PUT IT IN MY 70 GS 455. SEEMED TO WORK AS I RECALL. WHY TOLUENE AND NOT ZYLENE?

Either one is fine, but no one will help me out. I don't know what to look for. There are so many other chemicals mixed in. I don't want to buy the wrong stuff. Do I buy straight Touene or Zylene???

From my recollection, toluene says just that on the can and zylene is the same way. I guess it is what it is. Paint stores sell it. ;)

Toluene is the safer of the 2.
i.e. not attack the fuel pump/lines, rubber, etc.
Shermin williams carries it 20% w/93 equals about 98-99 octane.

Toulene also has a lower octane differential and is better suited for out boosted application.
