TR front seat covers...

Anyone know how to pop the whole headrest assly out of TR front seats? I'm re-doing my seats and don't see any release button or anything and it looks as if the whole headrest has to come out to get the new seat covers on.

The release is down inside the seat, where the bars slide in and out that attach to and support the headrest. A thin putty knife, or a butter knife, will release it.

Front seat covers

Still can't get the headrest out of the seat frame. Where exactly is the release at? Is it that little tab on the front of the seat frame?

Try taking a old hacksaw blade (maybe grind the teeth off) and sliding it in down along the posts that hold the headrest to the seat. The release is actually inside the the seat. Theres a piece of metel that locks the post in, your trying to slide something in between that and the headreast post to prevent the "locking" action.

Seat problems.

Still no luck getting the headrest off. Where exactly does the hacksaw blade get inserted to release the headrest?

I copied this from a previous post:

Slide the metal band into the front of the shaft going into the seat till it stops then push down on the headrest and the metal band then hold the band still and pull the headrest out.
