I'm getting a freshly rebuilt transmission back in a week or two for my GN and need to know what tranny cooler I should get to keep it happy. I have read posts that say "get the biggest one possible". I suppose size comes into play as well. What is the current cooler of choice for the TR's these days?

Also, how should I go about flushing the lines of any old debris before installing the new tranny and cooler in the car?

Thanks in advance for any information!

cooler and cooler

1) I run a 27,000 GVWR on mine, it's a little overkill but my trans. stays cool and my ET's are consistant!

2) compressed air ...there are other methods though.

cooler

a cheap but affective way is to use the cooler for your ac unit(if u don`t run ac that is)thats what i use on all of my cars

I am not saying ...

Buy from us...although you can... but I am linking these so you can see what you are looking for in a good cooler system. Size and fittings desired are the parameters and yes run as big as you can. Lines , brakeleen and compressed air works well. Here is an example of the perfect cooler set up.

Good Luck... :D

Thanks a million!

Thanks Bruce! I sincerely appreciate the info and opinions. Does your product come with detailed installation instructions for even the novice shadetree mechanic? :D

Why of course...

We cater especially the "mechanically challenged" ! LOL :D
( Special instruction sheets required) LOL

Have to be politically correct you know.....:)
You would be surprised at what we see and hear.
The other instruction advantage is acess to me 24-7 within hours anyway. ! LOL :D
Good Luck but at least you know what it is you are hunting down.

good deal!

Yeah, if you buy all those parts separate they cost a lot more than the kit! Now only if everybody would structure their businesses like Bruce...........

I'll just buy the 11 second "package" instead of the individual items and it won't cost me anything. :D

Hey WE4, I stopped by a local transmission shop today and asked them how they flush out the lines and the stock tranny cooler. He gave me a flushing kit (can with nozzle that screws to the line) and tells me on the rear drive cars he would just hook up the can to one of the lines at the tranny and blow it through the cooler and everything into a bucket. Is there any way that this will not work?

Sorry to keep bugging you, but that's what I'm best at so why not? :)

Thats basically the same thing.

Just make sure you get it all out. Thats all. It will work fine.

As for the post reply about the price on product 140 I dont see it. It comes up no website available. Is it me? what were you talking about? You got my curiousity up. :D
