Tranny/oil cooler Q?

I was wondering...could a tranny cooler be used as an oil cooler? If so, anything extra needed?

Typical trans cooler has 1/2" lines with 3/8" inlet while oil cooler lines are 5/8" with AN fittings at the inlet. You wouldn't want to restrict oil flow. Could wipe out your bearings by oil starvation at WOT.
