I finally got mine running right after much toil. I got it running saturday and it started missing. I had to drive 60 miles to get a set of plug wires. Put them on and miss is gone. Took it for a drive and the trans starting acting funny. I manually shifted down to 1st and the rear wheels locked up. I had to put the throttle down about 3/4's to get it to limp home about a mile down the road. Reverse works fine though. The fluid smeels burnt. I had a local rebuild it and when I had it together about a month ago I had no second gear. He rebuilt it again. While I fixed my blown headgaskets and bearing damage.( Pics in link below) Now there is a another problem. I'm starting to think this guy is retarted. What do you think it is?

Tranny problems

I also have the same symptoms, In first or second feels like the brakes are on. In D or OD starts off in third and upshifts to OD. Reverse works. Problem seems to be in 1st and 2nd mostly. I will pull the pan one of these days and figure it out, but it would be nice to know what to look for. TIA

Cool, A PR is a pressure regulator I guess, does it need to be replaced, cleaned, rebuilt, recalibrated? Thanks

Well my fluid is almost brown now. I have only 3rd gear left. The guy who rebuilt it says that it might be in two gears at once and burned up a clutch pack. Who knows, not my problem to deal with.
