trans fluid level

had a dynotech trans installed about a year ago and have never really beat on it due to a KR issue now that is resolved with alky and the thing shifts like poop. I noticed the trans fluid is overfilled about a quart or so (cant be sure) and it looks foamy.can this cause my 1-2 flare? also shifts hard when off (light)throttle,but when on throttle (hard) shifts like a "biscuit" ( soft).or is this a junk rebuild?

It is pretty standard to over-fill the TH 2004R by a pint to a quart,when fluid gets warm,it does look foamy,check the cable adjustment,and not knowing what V.B kit was installed or the quality of rebuild,drop the pan and look inside,if not take to a qualified 2004R guy
