I have a buddy with a 87 GN. He wants to modify the trans to shift firmer. I have a trans-go shift kit that I remove from my 87 Olds when I installed CK's shift kit. My question is, would I be better off leaving the stock brf line bias, 1-2 accumulator spring, etc and drilling the spacer plate as per CK's book or replacing those parts with trans-go peices? I know alot off people on this site dont care for trans-go kits in our cars. Just wanted some opinions as to if the stock brf parts are better than the trans-go stuff. Thanks in advance!:D

The TransGo kit works fine. On a BRF or other good VB you don't need to install the whole kit.
Use the Pressure regulator and boost valve, use the accumulator springs, the accumulator valve spring, follow the instructions for the hole sizing and plate mods, and use the line bias spring or even stiffer..

No need to change any shift valve springs or MTV, etc.

The CK kit is better than most because of the 3rd gear correction incorporated into the kit.
