Ever since my last run at Englishtown a couple weeks ago, the trans started flaring on the 1-2 shift in the T. Didn't seem bad at first but now it looks like its getting worse and it may be beginning to slip on the 2-3 shift too. Figure my days are numbered so I'm thinking of bringing it to Dynotech for a rebuild. I'm looking at the Hi-Pro rebuild since I'm already on the verge of 11's and if I upgrade the turbo and injectors I'll be well into the 11's. Plus I want to do some high psi footbrake launches and have a tranny that can take a beating.

I've only read good things about them and the Hi-Pro, but are there any options on the rebuild I should look into? There are some billet options like forward drum and input shaft, etc. I'm don't know a whole lot about transmissions, but I know I'll be beating up on it and don't want it to fail quickly. I don't mind paying a little more to extend the life some. I don't plan on making my car faster than maybe mid to low 11's, but I will be doing high boost launches on the footbrake, maybe into the low 1.6's or so.

I also figure if I'm upgrading the trans I might bite the bullet and upgrade the rear suspension too. I can probably get into the high 1.6's now, but it doesn't feel too solid and I keep wondering if something will break on the next run. I also wonder if I should worry about the axles.

Any advice would be appreciated.
