Translator Version 2.1

Howdy,

I have a very old Translator version 2.1 S/N 70. I recently upgraded to one of Eric's chips and 72 lb injectors. Is there anything in the more current translator versions (6.2) that is needed, or am I fine with what i have? Everything seems to work fine as is, but I don't want to be missing out on anything. I am using a 3.5 inch LT-1 MAF sensor.

I don't want to upgrade if it does not help any. Has anybody upgraded and noticed a difference?

I think you just need to get the upgrade chip to upgrade your Translator. It's only $30 on www.fullthrottlespeed.com I believe the only real benefit you will get since you aren't using an Extender chip, is the upgrade has a little better logic in the translation of the MAF values. I would recommend asking Bob Bailey what the benefits would be, but he might be at Bowling Green this week.
