Had the trans done and I wanted to know how much trans oil will go in to bring it close to capacity. I do have an external cooler and I am also running the trans oil thru the radiator. I also drained as much fluid out of the 9 inch convertor cuz I knew I was going to be running a synthetic in the new trans. Royal Purple aint cheap----this stuff better be worth it

You will probably need around 10 liters. Maybe a bit more, maybe less, depending on how well you drained the converter.

Like many others, I use hydraulic tractor fluid. It is really good stuff and only a fraction of the cost of the synthetic. It costs me $30 CAN for a 20L (5 gal) pail at Walmart.
