My cars suck

I currently have a stock trans with a shift kit, vigilante 3200, and a 5" deep sump from Perf. Trans. My question is, should I have it built now, or later? It works good now, no problems, and this is a low mileage (49000) car. Is there anything that can screw up and damage my motor? I've heard of people twisting the input shaft before. My car put down 400 hp at the wheels with 20 psi boost. I plan to turn it up to 24-25 psi at the track. I'm not worried about breaking it, I just don't want anything going with it! I expect short times in the 1.6 area, thats what I pulled last year, and it should be (better be) faster now. Thanks!

Run them till they break, when they break, fix them.

My tranny is also a unrebuilt stocker with well over 100 passes spanning 14 years and she still works fine using type F fluid. 1.6 60's and 11 second timeslips down at the other end.

Maybe my experience isn't normal but I do think a line lock, a tranny cooler, and frequent oil and filter changes make a difference in longevity.
