Does anyone know a good reliable transmission shop in or around CT that can do a complete transmission overhaul that isn't going to charge the same price as buying a new transmission? any help/ advice is greatly appreciated.

thanks

what's an overall?
Rebuild
Jerry's in Guilford rebuilt one for me in 2002 ( still in the car)
with shift kit, HP Servo, hardend stater, new clutches etc.
Not in the league you see here on the board but good.
$800.00 and I brought it to them out of the car

Jerry's does a very good job. Tell them you know me and well...........

I have been using them for many many years. They built the TH350 in the OLDS.

Thanks
I will talk with Jerry's and see what he says

A few guys I called wanted more than what it would cost to go a buy a new transmission with a better warranty

where are you going to buy a new trans for a turbo buick? nowhere! when it comes to transmission's you get what you pay for. call russ merrit 781 831 5591. he will build you a great trans.

X2 :p 508-866-5499 or 978-807-3363 These are Russ's new #s:cool: Oh if you do only want to spend the $800. don't bother callin Russ

Dand will find out what tranny's cost:D
And I'll made it clear the $800.00 I spent is not in any means like ones sold on this board

There is also Dynotech on Long Island if you are going to take it out yourself and drive it somewhere.

Or leave the car for a length of time and pick it up.

Jack Cotton in Agawam, Mass. can hook you up as well.

I'm in West Haven if you need help.
Are you looking for a strong performance build with all the billet goodies or just a basic rebuild with a good band, servo and shift kit>???

Svt....
Juist Looking For A Basic Rebuild With Heavy Duty Bands, Shift Kit...etc

Thanks

IIRC, Joe Burkhart is up there in CT as well. He used to come on here under the name Geerhead. Some of the locals up there should be able to put you in touch. Bruce from PTS should also have his info.
