I just bought this game and am having a problem playing.
when i go to start the game, things start ok, but when the first animation sequence begins, as the guy starts "talking" to "the master" or whatever, my computer crashes and reboots.....then on reboot it wants to send an error msg to MS of course.
I am using WinXP on an HP laptop i bought 3 months ago....i installed directx9.0 from the game but i am pretty sure i already had it, i updated my video card driver from ATI, I set all the display and performance settings to LOW and none of this is working.....when it does crash i get a blue screen for less than a second with a lot of words on it, but i cant catch any of the error messages in time to remember them and write them down.
i can tell you what files are being reported to MS when it wants to send the error report but i somehow doubt thats of much use....
c:\windows\minidump\mini110503-03.dmp
c:\docume~1\dan\locals\temp\wer2.tmp.dir01\sysdata.xml
anyone have any clue whats going on with my computer and how to make it stop
i tried calling the tech support line of buenavista and couldnt find any option to "talk" to someone, i did do most if not all of thier suggestions for performance but like i said, it didnt help the situation.
TIA
