Trouble with 424 trans fluid?

I was buying a case of MobilOne 424 trans fluid and when I told the seller that I was going to use it in a car trans he refused to sell it to me saying it would ruin the trans!! I told him I wouldn't hold him responsible for any damage that may occur due to use in an auto trans before he would sell me the fluid!!??

Anyone else have this problem?

What possible damage could the 424 stuff cause a 200R4??

None that I know of. I have been using it for 5 years, no problems.

the tractor fluid works fine and takes a beating. how-- still trucking? any of your guys know anything about older international trucks? i just got a 90--9300 with a set back front axle and i want to install a set forward front axle and hood. i just wanted to find someone that says it can be done or has done it. its not the pete i wanted but its in great shape with very low miles. its got a small cat with a jake and air ride. im going to pull the front diff. out this weekend and make it a single axle to pull our 48 ft. car trailer.
